The easiest way to travel from capital city to Phangan is to buy a joint ticket from Songserm Travel for boats and express boats, bus, trains, airplanes to the island. Or you can take an 1 hr. flight operated by Bangkok Airways 6 times a day from BKK to Koh Samui and catch the speed boat to Koh Phangan. The island of Koh Panghan is one of the country's real tropical gems. Blessed with white beaches and hidden bays, tourists from all over the world come again year after year to soak up the unforgettable Thai culture. Weather in the Kingdom of Thailand is extremely equatorial, hot and damp. Often climate changes are designed by monsoons that make 3 different seasons in Northern and Central Siam and two contrasting seasons in southerly Thailand. In the south monsoon around May to Oct is rainy and cloudy, but in north-east monsoon approx Nov to Mar is bone dry and comparatively colder. Many have in mind that Phangan is only a place for backpackers or young people enjoying the Fullmoon Party at Had Rin beach. But this is not so small and Fullmoon is only a relative small part of Koh Phangan.
